PLEASE READ THIS PAGE THOROUGHLY!

When: July 5th – 12th
Where: See Directions page

What to bring (we are not your mom)

In the land of hot springs, crisp pristine rivers, extensive wilderness, phantom grizzly and wolf it is best to come prepared. One day it could be 80 degrees and the next day it could snow. Leave your city clothes behind. We don’t have ticks or poison ivy, but we do get snow in July.

*Music, stories, wilderness skills, updates from your campaigns, workshops, etc.

*Cash (The Rendezvous, as always, is a free event, but please bring some dollars to donate to support next year’s Rendezvous and Organizers’ Conference and to Seeds of Peace for food. You can also donate in advance on our “donate” page.)

*Hiking Boots (waxed-waterproof)

*Tent or Tarp (set up for torrential rains)

*Warm sleeping bag

*Fleece, Wool and Silk clothing

*Rain Gear (plastic, pants and top, gortex is no match for the Bitterroot)

*Gloves and Socks (wool, etc)

*Water Filter (hand pump)

*Sleeping pad (to insulate the body from the cold, cold ground)

*Hat (wool)

*Extra clothes (to replace wet clothes)

*Compass, Maps, Matches/Lighter, Flashlight, Knife, etc. (for when you get lost and a cougar is following you)

*Water bottle(s)

*Emergency Blanket

*Food (there will be a community kitchen, but please come prepared to feed yourself, especially if you have specific dietary needs/preferences)

*Eating utensils, plate, bowl, etc.

*Good Attitude and Work Ethic

*A Spirit of Resistance to ecosystem destruction and a willingness to participate in the event. We hope to have a lot of people from local communities at this event and we want to foster a respectful environment that creates a welcome space for people from disparate backgrounds.

*Proposals for next year’s Rendezvous and Organizers Conference: If you have an active EF! group or want to start one, think about making a pitch to host the 2012 RRR or OC in your neck of the woods.

What not to bring:

*Converse shoes (and other water absorbent shoes)

*Cotton clothing

*Oppressive and violent behavior (we will not tolerate racist, sexist, homophobic, or other similarly asinine temperaments).

*Whiny, complaining, energy-sucking attitudes

*Out of control animal companions

Site Logistics

Coming soon.

Food:

The Seeds of Peace radical catering collective will be providing 2-3 meals per day throughout the Rendezvous, but we encourage everyone to bring enough food to sustain themselves for the week, especially if you require or prefer a specific diet.

Housing:
Bring yer own. We’re camping.

Water:
Bring your own or filter your own. We’re camping. (The site will have access to non-potable water that can be filtered or boiled, but we will probably not be able to provide drinking water for everyone).
